Our Benefits

Communication between home and school is extremely important in order to ensure the success of your child. Friendship For Tots provides many opportunities for parents to receive information on the progress of their child as well as the activities and events at our center. The following details the types of communication that parents will receive:

  • Class Orientation/Meet the teacher: Prior to the scholars first day of school, all students and parents are asked to attend their classroom orientation. This provides a great opportunity for you and your child to meet their new teachers. ( Parents will receive letter informing of date and time of orientation)
  • Teacher "Hello" Letter: Prior to the first day of school,  you and your child will receive a "hello" letter from your scholar's teacher.
  • School Notices: Both the administrative team and teachers communicate and send messages through our communication app. It is the parent's responsibility to check messages daily and respond accordingly.
  • Daily messages with pictures of children's fun learning and engagement through our communication app!
  • Parent/Teacher Conference: Parent/Teacher conferences will be scheduled two times per year, or more often by request. This conference will summarize each scholars progress in our program. Conferences are generally scheduled in November and in May.

At Friendship For Tots our philosophy is that learning shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. Our curriculum gives educators the freedom of flexibility in their lesson plans and teaching style. This allows them the opportunity to take advantage of organic teachable moments that occur in the classroom, and tailor educational experiences to fit individualized interests for a one-of-a-kind approach your little one is sure to love.

Our top priority has always been for the health and safety of all those in our care. Now more than ever, this is holds true. We are responding to the need for enhanced protocols with the development of the Gold Standard in the child care industry for cleanliness, security and peace of mind

Learning happens best in a warm and nurturing environment in the care of highly skilled educators. At Friendship For Tots, all staff are educated and trained in early childhood education and development. Educators must pass a detailed background check and have extensive experience within childcare or education. Friendship For Tots educators are also required to continue their education through professional development opportunities and mandatory training to meet strict local and state licensing regulations.

Our Philosophy:

Happy Children and Happy Parents

It is the philosophy of Friendship for Tots and its staff that children, their families and society benefit from high-quality early childhood programs.  We believe that there is a critical link between a child’s early experiences and later success in life.  We believe that you cannot separate childcare and education; children learn best through their play, interactions, and experiences.

The learning environment at the FFT is structured in such a way as to give the child an opportunity to independently explore, select, create and problem solve.  Classrooms are organized around interest centers and play areas that include art, math, science, language arts, blocks, dramatic play and cooking and nutrition. FFT staff plan and facilitate these experiences for the total development of your child.  We celebrate cultural diversity and incorporate multicultural perspectives throughout our curriculum.
